What to Wear: There are very few reasons for formal clothes on Key West. Dressy often means a clean T-shirt. Cotton, linen and rayon clothes work best in the frequently humid, tropical climate. Long sleeves or a lightweight sweater helps to cut the evening breezes, but a windbreaker is probably the best bet — especially if you plan to get out onto the water. Comfortable shoes or sandals, decent sunglasses and a hat are essential.
